You told me you were leaving
I watched you pace
that empty house
It was more of a vessel
A receptacle
It held nothing but
twisted limbs
and foreboding bodies
I had lost myself in that house
I have no idea who I am
But you two
You- who brought in
three lumps
They were mistaken for
frankincense and gold
and I, that myrrh
You laughed at my misfortunes
Found comfort in my absence
You told me you were leaving
I would have followed you
why couldn’t you do the same
