There’s gold on your skin
little tiny speckles
that I would lay down and count
The world stopped spinning once
whenever I had tried
You laid there
and said my eyes were laughing
I was imaging us turning into those sprinkles
We would shift into
little balls of dust
Float into that universe
we admired
so deeply together
Varnish ourselves as one of those stars
and become that glitter on your skin
